Government of India has suggested to make DIY masks amid the largest global pandemic in recent times: COVID-19

The government of India has recommended that people cover their faces with homemade, reusable masks when they step out of their homes as part of measures to stem the spread of corona virus in the country. India has recorded over 2,900 corona virus or COVID-19 cases, including 68 deaths. The government has also stressed on the need of face covers for people living in densely populated areas across the country.
Amid escalating worries of COVID-19, the Union Health Ministry has put out a detailed advisory on the use of homemade protective cover for face and mouth.

“…it is suggested that such people who are not suffering from medical conditions or having breathing difficulties may use the handmade reusable face cover, particularly when they step out of their house. This will help in protecting the community at large,” the ministry said.

These handmade masks, however, are not meant for health workers or those working with or in contact with COVID -19 patients or those who are patients themselves as they are required to wear specified protective gear, the Health Ministry said.

The government has also put out detailed steps for a do-it-yourself face mask that can be made out of a piece of clean cloth available at home.

“There must not be a sharing of face covers and a face cover must be used by only one individual. So, in a family of several members, each member should have a separate face cover,” the advisory says.

Virtual Classroom - Uses of Google Classroom Application .

Now a days due to covid-19, What I usually recommend to teachers is that they can use google classroom as their “Home Base” to teach students. They can use it as the place where we teachers can give notes and assignment to students and any student can answer the question. “If I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, where should I start?” Teachers can then place links to Google Classroom or wherever they wish for students to go to find more information or an assignment description so they’re not duplicating. The worst-case scenario would be that they would need to copy and paste an assignment description in one or the other. But even if they only say, “Your assignment tonight is on Google Classroom” and nothing else. They can then ask their students to log in so they can see what it is they’re supposed to do. Ultimately, this way of working things out creates the most transparency for teachers by allowing the most centralized access for students and parents without having to start with the question of “Where am I supposed to start?”

Need more tips on how to make the most of your work on your google classroom?

1.      In order to see the information, teachers and students must have an email address (which some of our students do not). The courses are not searchable on the internet like google classroom.
2.      Teachers must manually add emails to their students’ individual profiles for them to receive the email, which means they need to collect them and keep them updated if they change.
3.      Teachers can assign assignment to their students and fix the grade and submission date to submit that assignment.
4.      We can manage notes and assignment in date by date (day by day) manner. And find out how many students submit their assignment on date or not.
5.      Students can also check their assignment and notes easily according to date and lecture. And after submission of assignment they can also see their grade which are given by the teacher as per performance in assignment.
For ease of teaching I am using google classroom for my students. And students can easily maintain their notes also for future purpose.

Social Re-engineering in Today’s Society

Social engineering is a discipline in social science that refers to efforts to influence particular attitudes and social behaviors on a large scale, whether by governments, media or private groups in order to produce desired characteristics in a target population.
Social reengineering is not simply slapping a social component onto existing business processes, but fundamentally changing the way work gets done, solutions are reached, and innovation is stirred. It strips away the hierarchy and bureaucracy that has long been associated with industrialization and replaces it with an open forum of ideas and problem-solving that draws out the best from employees spanning all functions of the enterprise.
These days people spend a lot of time watching movies , playing games and on social media. Adult students are no different :- they love violent games, watch movies that have violence in, indulge in addictive behaviors such as social media, alcohol, and smoking etc..
“Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these the most influential is what is called ‘education.’ Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the press, the cinema, and the radio play an increasing part … It may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if he can catch the patient young and is provided by the State with money and equipment”
At this point in history let consider social media as the most important influencers.
The point in discussion is social re-engineering. The way society is re-engineered to love itself, to indulge in activities that pleases one’s senses, that love to do shopping, those love spending hours chatting to friends on social media, are pleasure seeking, that loves violence, that loves to play war games and watch violent movies, and that seeks out war. We are being socially engineered to be being that what others want us to become. As there was a Eugenic movement in the last century today there is a hedonistic movement. And when this movement is sponsored by the state and the big industries the common man often fall an easy prey.
Children are the easiest to manipulate. Children’s cartoon today have just three themes. One is violence. (Chota Bheem, Motu Patlu, Little Krishna, Tom and Jerry,  and Oggy and Cockroaches) the other is a dependency (Doremon and other Japanese cartoons) the third is that of revenge (again a number of Japanese cartoons aimed at teenagers). Children growing up with these cartoons internalize the values of dependency on gadgets, violence, and revenge.
“ The questions then: where are we headed?  where are we being goaded into? who is manipulating us and why? “
