Now a days due to covid-19, What I
usually recommend to teachers is that they can use google classroom as their
“Home Base” to teach students. They can use it as the place where we teachers
can give notes and assignment to students and any student can answer the
question. “If I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, where should I start?”
Teachers can then place links to Google Classroom or
wherever they wish for students to go to find more information or an assignment
description so they’re not duplicating. The worst-case scenario would be that
they would need to copy and paste an assignment description in one or the
other. But even if they only say, “Your assignment tonight is on Google Classroom” and nothing else. They can then ask their students
to log in so they can see what it is they’re supposed to do. Ultimately, this
way of working things out creates the most transparency for teachers by
allowing the most centralized access for students and parents without having to
start with the question of “Where am I supposed to start?”
Need more tips on how to make the most of your work on your google
classroom?
1. In
order to see the information, teachers and students must have an email address
(which some of our students do not). The courses are not searchable on the
internet like google classroom.
2. Teachers must manually add emails to their
students’ individual profiles for them to receive the email, which means they
need to collect them and keep them updated if they change.
3. Teachers can assign assignment to their
students and fix the grade and submission date to submit that assignment.
4. We can manage notes and assignment in date by
date (day by day) manner. And find out how many students submit their
assignment on date or not.
5. Students can also check their assignment and
notes easily according to date and lecture. And after submission of assignment
they can also see their grade which are given by the teacher as per performance
in assignment.
For
ease of teaching I am using google classroom for my students. And students can
easily maintain their notes also for future purpose.
